Fee tables
Fee tables define which expert fee ZEIT.IO charges for a damage case. They are used by organisations that transfer their damage cases from CombiSystems to ZEIT.IO and create outgoing invoices from them automatically. Instead of determining the fee for every case by hand, ZEIT.IO looks it up in the fee table based on the amount of the damage and adds it to the invoice as the line item "Honorar".
Note
Fee tables are only available if the CombiSystems synchronisation is enabled in the organisation settings and you have read permissions for fee tables.
Structure of a fee table
A fee table consists of several entries. Entries with the same name together form one table. This way you can keep several fee tables in one organisation, e.g. a standard table and a different table for individual insurance companies. An entry consists of the following fields:
- Fee table: The name of the table this entry belongs to.
- Assessment basis: The upper limit of the case value this entry applies to.
- Report with EDV: The fee for a report with EDV supported data records. This value is charged as the fee on the invoice.
- Report without EDV: The fee for a report without EDV supported data records.
- Damage report / forecast: The fee for a damage report or a forecast.
Within one table, each assessment basis may only occur once.
When the CombiSystems synchronisation is enabled, ZEIT.IO automatically creates a fee table named "Default". You can adjust it to your own fees.
Manage fee tables
You find the fee tables in the main menu under "Invoices -> Fee tables". Here you see all entries of all fee tables of your organisation and can filter them by table name and assessment basis.
- With the "Add new entry" button you add a single entry.
- With "Import CSV" in the dropdown next to the button you import many entries at once.
- With "CSV Export" below the list you export the currently filtered entries.
The import format is the export format. So you can export a fee table, edit it in a spreadsheet or add a new table name, and import it again. Entries that already exist are reported as an error during the import and are not changed.
Assign a fee table to a customer
Every customer has exactly one fee table. You select it in the customer's master data in the field "Fee table". Select "None" if no fee should be charged for this customer.
Which fee table a newly created customer gets is set in the organisation settings under "Fee table". Changing this setting only affects new customers, existing customers remain unchanged.
How the fee is determined
For every damage case, ZEIT.IO first determines the value that is looked up in the fee table. For that, two values are weighed against each other:
- the sum of repair costs (net) and depreciation (net)
- the replacement value (gross)
The higher of the two values always counts:
- If the sum of repair costs and depreciation is greater than the replacement value, this sum is used.
- Otherwise the replacement value is used.
With this value, ZEIT.IO searches the customer's fee table for the first entry whose assessment basis is greater than or equal to the value. The fee from the column "Report with EDV" of this entry is put on the invoice. If the value is above the highest assessment basis of the table, the entry with the highest assessment basis applies.
Note
Deductions, e.g. due to previous damages, are not taken into account yet.
Example
The customer's fee table contains, among others, these two entries:
| Assessment basis | Report with EDV |
|---|---|
| 2,000.00 € | 510.30 € |
| 2,250.00 € | 536.55 € |
Case 1: Repair costs and depreciation are higher than the replacement value
- Repair costs net: 2,000.00 €
- Depreciation net: 100.00 €
- Sum net: 2,100.00 €
- Replacement value gross: 1,900.00 €
The sum of 2,100.00 € is greater than the replacement value of 1,900.00 €, so the sum counts. The first entry with an assessment basis of at least 2,100.00 € is the entry with 2,250.00 €. The invoice shows a fee of 536.55 €.
Case 2: The replacement value is higher
- Repair costs net: 1,700.00 €
- Depreciation net: 100.00 €
- Sum net: 1,800.00 €
- Replacement value gross: 1,900.00 €
The sum of 1,800.00 € is less than the replacement value of 1,900.00 €, so the replacement value counts. The first entry with an assessment basis of at least 1,900.00 € is the entry with 2,000.00 €. The invoice shows a fee of 510.30 €.
